ECG of the Week - 1st October 2012

This ECG is from a 22 year old female with sudden onset severe headache.

  1. Rhythm: Sinus bradycardia
    - Regular @~55 bpm
    - Sinus P-waves associated 1:1 with QRS
    - Normal PRi
    - Narrow QRS @ 100ms

    Axis: -15deg (between I/aVL), roughly perpendicular to aVF/II

    12-Lead:
    - Late R-wave transition
    - Intraventricular conduction oddities in the limb leads
    - Diffuse symmetric T-wave inversion

    Very ominous findings consistent with a hemorrhagic stroke (SAH, cerebellar hemorrhage, etc).

  2. I agree with Christopher. I would strongly suspect a central nervous system disorder (e.g., intracranial hemorrhage).
