ECG of the Week - 2nd July 2012 - Interpretation


This ECG is from a 80 year old female who presented following 2 hours of chest pain. En-route to hospital suffered a VF arrest with return of circulation post defibrillation.

  • 72
Rhythm:
  • Sinus Arrhythmia

Axis:
  • Normal (+70 deg)
Intervals:
  • PR - Normal (~200ms)
  • QRS - Normal (80ms)
  • QT - 400ms (QTc Bazette ~ 43\70 ms)
Segments:
  • ST Elevation - V1-6, I, aVL (maximal in V3 4-5mm)
  • ST Depression II, III, aVF

Interpretation:


  • Antero-lateral STEMI
